Since the early 1900's Schoeneman has been an active employer in Schuylkill County. At this time, Schoeneman Beauty Supply provides employment to over 600 employees in several states, with the primary amount of employees being right here in Pottsville, PA. Offices are located on Route 61 N in Pottsville and in the St. Clair Industrial Park where their State of the Art Distribution Center is located.

Schoeneman Beauty Supply is a 4th generation family-owned and operated company and they treat their employees with respect and dignity, like family. In spite of rising health care costs, they have found an affordable way to offer top-notch benefits including Rx, vision, and dental. They also offer profit sharing and a 401(k) match.

Educational benefits are high on the Company's list. Schoeneman employees can be seen at many of MAEA's Roundtables and other educational seminars. Our distribution center and office staff are trained on workplace safety, our managers receive supervisory and legal update training, sales consultants are taught how to best provide customer service "Schoeneman-Style" and Schoeneman is continually searching for the best in products to provide to their customers to enable them to help others look and feel good about themselves. Our Distributor Sales Consultants and our Schoeneman Beauty Supply Stores are extremely active in the community, helping to fulfill the salon professional needs with education, products and salon furnishings, workings side by side with their salons and to grow their businesses to best service their communities.

We have a state of the art Distribution Center that is climate controlled, pleasant to work in and also features a double carousel for the ease and efficiency of picking certain orders. Additionally, our IT Department is second to none, always providing security and exemplary services to the employees and most recently kicking off a new Point of Sale program.

Community Involvement - Schoeneman Beauty Supply encourages community involvement from all employees. Specifically, as a local employer we are very much involved in the United Way activities, Relay for Life, and City of Hope. Of course, with an organization our size, we take care of our own co-workers during times of hardship with fundraisers. This year, we were also extremely active in assisting the Red Cross with supplies and services necessary to assist the human and animal victims of Hurricane Katrina.

President of Schoeneman Beauty Supply, Mr. F. Dale Schoeneman, is known to his employees as "Dale" Representative of his nature, Dale is a past recipient of the Torch of Liberty Award. This is an award presented to individuals who live a life dedicated to fairness, non-discrimination, and equal employment opportunities for all. He has also served in various capacities with local businesses such as bank board, hospital board. Dale is an avid fan of flying, has been a licensed pilot for many years and is currently the Chairman of the Schuylkill County Airport Authority.

There are so many employees employed by Schoeneman Beauty Supply, Inc. with a history of longevity with the Company. Most of them started with the Company in a position which is not the position they are in now. Schoeneman Beauty Supply, Inc. is all about the "person" the "people." They are not so much interested in the letters behind a person's name, than they are in hiring individuals with a genuine sense of care and concern for others and a desire to grow both personally and professionally. This can be noticed by anyone who visits our offices. The comments from visitors and potential employees are always about the friendliness of the employees.
